Loving the stain and Metal roof
Isn't she a beauty.  The cabin from the outside is DONE!!!   Well to the eye of the beholder anyway.  The metal roof was completed on Friday along with the staining and caulking on the outside.  We can officially say the cabin in enclosed.   I continue to be amazed at the "one man" carpenter whose only job right now is to build a "little cabin in the woods".     We have been so blessed to have good weather through out the winter.   We have had some days off for short trips,  some below freezing weather, and the holidays.  These days have been good to give the body a rest.

The view from the back.  The covered deck/porch will be a great space to enjoy nature

So what's in store now?  Electrical is being run.   Peter who is part of the family has graciously given us this last weekend to "run" wire.  Terry had prepared the "boxes" the week before to get ready for some heavy wiring to take place.

I am taking a week off from work this week which will be good for the soul. Today we will begin finishing the walls INSIDE. We will first power wash the inside walls, then apply a clear coat of clear finish, then caulk.  The final step to apply another coat of clear finish.   Surely I can get a good start on this since Terry did the entire outside by himself.  It is another one of those...."WOW..how did you do that all by yourself?" kind of things.   Very thankful Terry has guardian angels keeping him safe and healthy. Looking forward to being out in the woods with projected highs in the 60's.

I guess this means something to some one??
Beginning of the wiring phase

A shout out to Peter for a job well done.

I am always good for clean up duty.  My pile for one day with my beloved Kuboto tractor

We are so blessed to have family and friends who are helping with the our project.    Now begins our electrical, plumbing, heating and air, and septic which must be finished before we get our next inspection.

We live grateful for:
Flint Ridge neighbors who stop by to visit and check on our progress
For Family and friends in Tulsa, Washburn, and Edmond who continue to help so much
For Becky's friends from work who spend a day here and there helping
And finally for God's gift of health and blessing as we live for him day to day.
