May, 2014 Terry started clearing the land for our electricity.  Next came the basement and the first log laid in Aug 2014.   So now a year later from clearing our land, the inside cabin is taking shape.  The septic is in, our last big "utility".   We can now say good by to the "out door John" and hello to a indoor bathroom.    Terry will complete  a bathroom in the basement in the next two weeks.   Having indoor plumbing will be nice for us and for others who come to help with the cabin.

The tongue and groove ceilings are finished, dormers done, and all the railing is in place.   Six inch white oak has been bought for the great room floor and several trips have been made to the hardware  and tile store.  We have decided to leave the basement floor concrete for the time being.

Most of the sheet rock is up but still need to do mud and taping.  We have started to lay out the kitchen to see how the cabinets will fit.   Friends and family have been a huge part of this process.   The build could not have taken place with out them.  Enjoy the pictures below, we are getting closer.

Back porch has ceiling and railing, a good place for a nap.
All 3 dormers have walls and ceiling, a good place to read a book.
Septic put in.
